Congressman Mike Ezell announced he is running for re-election in 2024.
First elected in 2022, Ezell pulled in a whopping 73 percent of the votes. He then traded in his sheriff’s badge and uniform for a suit and tie with an American flag pin.
He is serving on the Homeland Security Committee and Transportation and Infrastructure Committee.
If re-elected, Ezell hopes to work with other congress members like Alabama Congressman Jerry Carl and Georgia Congressman Drew Ferguson, who both endorsed him.
Ezell is excited for the opportunity to continue serving his constituents if he wins re-election. “It’s a wonderful thing to be a member of Congress. It’s a wonderful feeling to be able to work for the people and to serve the people. And I will continue to do that as long as I’m in Congress, and I’ve always done that as a law enforcement officer and a sheriff. And I’ll continue to do that. We’re all about service. The only campaign promise I made when I was sheriff, and I hold this true, if you call, we’re coming and we’re going to help.”
Congressman Jerry Carl said, “We share a lot of the same common influences, same businesses, so it’s important that I get somebody like Mike that I can work with. It’s important to the people in my district.”
This election is just over a year away on November 5th, 2024.
